Throughout the years of his life, Rick has been interested in expressing his creativity any way possible. This was first demonstrated at age 4 when Rick got his hands on a black magic marker and “expressed himself” on the floors, walls and furniture of his parents home. Luckily Rick grew out of that and began putting his pencils and markers to paper a few years later. The desire to continue creating imagery lead Rick into a graphic design career for 10 years. In the beginning of his design career, Rick picked up a digital SLR camera for the first time and found another source for his creativity. He mostly photographed landscape and abstract imagery but it wasn’t until he created his first portrait that he had found what he was looking for in photography. This new form of artistic expression that Rick had found was what he truly found interesting and it was then that he decided that photography was what he needed to do with his life. Rick has since left his graphic design career and moved on to editorial and portrait photography and has not looked back since.
Rick Wenner currently resides in Long Island, NY and is available for national and international assignments in portraiture, fashion, editorial, and commercial.
